Fourth Annual Online Conference Digital Data from a Humanities Researcher's Perspective
The goal of the Digital Data from the Perspective of a Humanities Scholar conference is to provide a professional forum for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences in the use of data, digital methods, and computational and information technologies in humanities research.

The conference welcomes a variety of papers offering empirical, theoretical, and technical perspectives on digital and algorithmic research in a wide range of humanities disciplines. The conference is organized by the Department of Information Studies and Librarianship of the Faculty of Arts MU together with the local node of the large research infrastructure LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ. The conference will be held online on November 23, 2023.
The fourth edition of the conference focuses on data, tools and platforms for digital research in the humanities. The main themes of the conference, with a constant focus on the humanities, include:
- Computing in Humanities Research
- digital humanities projects
- collaborative digital research
- digital and algorithmic research methods
- tools for data analysis
- data mining and retrieval
- organisation of data, concepts and knowledge
- building research infrastructures

Conference papers
There are three types of conference papers: invited talks, paper presentations and workshops. Paper presentations are 20 minutes in length.
The conference is conducted entirely online in the MS Teams environment, in which it is moderated both "live" on camera and in chat, where questions can be asked about the discussion part of each paper.
